        Verdict

        Doctor Sardonicus finished well ahead of Sign of The Kodiac when scoring at Chelmsford back in August but hasn’t raced since and GRACIOUS JOHN is taken to defy a penalty. The latter won in this grade at Lingfield just 10 days ago and can confirm running with Shamshon. Bowson Fred is without a win so far this year but is getting closer and was runner-up at Newcastle last time while Compas Scoobie remains 6lb higher than an earlier win at Bath.
