Another moderate affair can go the way of Miss Adelaide ahead of the likes of Ela Figura, Bunkhouse and Urban Calm. With Kieren Fallon booked to ride, the Barry Hills-trained filly Miss Adelaide might just be good enough to finally open her account over the shortest trip she has tried so far. The daughter of Alzao has tried distances ranging from six furlongs to a mile and a quarter without success, and connections must by now be banging their heads. This could be an inspired move though, as the dam Sweet Adelaide was a smart juvenile in her time and herself is related to sprint winners. In normal circumstances we would point out that she has been costly to follow, but this race is so bad that she stands out, which does not say much for the rest of them. Ela Figura is a long-standing maiden and Bunkhouse has shown nothing to date although is likely to try and make the pace. Urban Calm was only beaten a head in a Doncaster maiden back in June and has a bit of a squeak on that form, but Miss Adelaide can overcome a high draw to prevail
