An implausibly ordinary contest to get matters underway and The Salwick Flyer can only be recommended to the most minimal of stakes ahead of Creme Brulee, Blackheath and Willofcourse. The selection does have a poor draw to work for but he is at least in form at present following a success in a hands and heels race on turf. He is potentially unexposed on the all-weather and is in what is a bad race. Creme Brulee has often been backed without success. He makes a first run for a new trainer having left Charlie Egerton and the market is watched. Blackheath is a regular in claimers these days. A draw of thirteen is hardly ideal. Willofcourse is from an in-form yard and the long-standing maiden is dropping down the handicap these days. Muktasb invariably comes up with a hard luck story once the race begins in earnest. Ballybunnion ran a stinker in a claimer at Bath while Arfinnit is confirmed over this trip and does usually run up to a usual, if very modest, level. Not a race for the housekeeping monies and The Salwick Flyer is the most token of selections.
