Verdict

Weloof landed a gamble at Lingfield with River Song over five lengths behind but is 7lb higher today. Carey Street won over track and trip earlier and is preferred to recent Southwell winner My Brother Mike while Makambe best recent efforts have also come on the Fibresand at Southwell. But POPE GREGORY found only one too good over course and distance on his comeback and debut for James Bethell’s yard and looks capable of scoring off his current mark on that form.
