The most valuable race on the card has understandably attracted a competitive field with a number of in-form rivals on view but the vote goes to Indian Steppes. The Jamie Poulton-trained filly has proved a model of consistency and has not finished out of the first two on her last eight starts. The daughter of Indian Ridge recorded back-to-back victories at Southwell and over course and distance before being worn down in the closing stages over seven furlongs last time at Southwell. She looked the likely winner early in the straight and the return to this trip will suit so looks sure to go well despite a subsequent 7lb rise. Only One Legend is proving a frustrating type and looks worth taking on at the likely cramped odds while Fiamma Royale still looks high enough at the weights. Dunedin Rascal carried a welter burden to victory last time and is still fairly treated on the pick of his form so can reach a place.
