In depth

Verdict

Only 3lb separates the five runners on official ratings but Mark Johnston has a strong hand with both Colebrooke and BARNUM. Though placed on numerous occasions, the former has yet to win in nine starts now and his less exposed stablemate is preferred after posting an improved effort at Lingfield last month. Bertie Blu Boy has won over a shorter trip here but was well beaten at Haydock on Saturday and the returning pair Cunning Act and Retreat Content look to have more potential.
