        Verdict

        It would be no surprise if SACRED SHIELD proved good enough to take this on her seasonal debut. She finished a modest fifth on her debut at Warwick over 7f in September, but she's a half-sister to middle-distance winners and much better is expected from Henry Cecil's filly here. Leading jumps trainer Nicky Henderson runs Napoleons Mistress, who was well beaten on her only start on the Flat in 2009 and fell on her hurdles debut last month, while Redhotdoc has been placed in a bumper and ran well here last time. Lady Of Burgundy and Dark Spirit are others to note.
