Ravinia and Beck can both step up on their inauspicious debuts with the tentative vote going to Brian Meehan's filly Ravinia. The selection shaped with a little promise on her debut back in September, and her stable won with a similarly profiled horse here on Tuesday. Michael Bell has a one in four strike-rate with his two-year-old's at the West Midlands course and therefore he must be feared, especially after running well over a longer trip on his debut until fading inside the final furlong. Dropping back in trip today, he should prove to be the main danger although the Irish horse Murrisk will not be coming across the water for no reason and a reproduction of his previous effort at the course should see him in the thick of the action. Jamie Osbourne's Dr McFab was a fairly expensive purchase and so support for that in the market should be heeded. Lady Alize is still a maiden after five attempts, however she has shown significant promise in both her maidens and also in a Listed race on her penultimate outing so a reproduction of that form could easily be enough to win this contest. She ran a stinker when last seen at Newmarket but this drop in grade could be just what she needs. However, Brian Meehan's Stable are in good form and she is taken to improve past her rivals.
