      Verdict

      GILMER raced up with the pace over 6f at Kempton last time and this shorter trip should prove no problem for the Godolphin colt. He gets the nod on his handicap bow ahead of Sunset Shore. The latter has been running well in handicaps without success but the assessor has been loathe to drop her in the weights while Exceeder has to race off the same mark despite never getting to grips with the winner at Nottingham last time. Kodafine's recent second here came in a seller and Lexington Rose has lost her way since scoring at Musselburgh in June.
