        Verdict

        Spirit Of Rowdown’s winning run came to an end here last time though he still finished ahead of Heat And Dust. Livia The Empress has gone close the last twice now including over track and trip while Hafez is creeping closer in handicaps. Nurse Dee finished runner-up in a lower grade at Lingfield recently and the remainder go handicapping for the first time including Renbawi, Dark Esteem and SCHABANG. But the latter came up against some powerful yards in a maiden here last time and Ed Walker’s filly gets a speculative vote in an open contest.
