Red Skelton can gain another course and distance success at the expense of Qobtaan, Cherished Number and Ballyhurry. Red Skelton finished third here a fortnight ago when beaten by two more fancied rivals, and did himself no favours by coming widest of all into the straight. He is drawn in stall three here and there should be no excuses for Debbie Evans' charge who hold Cherished Number anyway on that latest running. Qobtaan beat little in a G4 contest last time, but does at least handle the track and may be placed at least. Ballyhurry is far better handicapped on the all-weather than on Turf, and should improve in time. The trip today should help his cause and he should go well despite topweight. Welsh Wind is a bit in and out but would have claims on his best form, while Little Englander was a bit unlucky in running on his last start at Nottingham in October and makes his Polytrack debut so is best watched. Red Skelton has more going for him than most here and so rates the pick.
