A rock solid case can be made for TIMELY JAZZ in this maiden and he gets our pick over Logos Astra and James Barrymore. The selection was only beaten by a neck in a decent maiden at Newmarket last month and that is by the far the best form on show here. He has a good draw and it will be a surprise if he is not good enough to get his head in front. Logos Astra ran well on his racecourse bow at Sandown but he was a well beaten third at the same track last time out, although the form of that race has since been franked by the second who has been out and won. James Barrymore looked in need of the experience on his debut at Lingfield but he showed definite promise that day and he should learn plenty for the experience. A market move for the Mark Johnston-trained newcomer Temple Fair could be of interest, but it will take a good one to beat the selection Timely Jazz.
