Receiving weight from most of his rivals GUILDENSTERN looks to have a chance to return to winning ways in front of last time out scorer Chief Red Cloud and the consistent Trade Centre. A dual course winner the pick narrowly missed out to adding to that record when only just held off this mark in March. With his last run ignored, when not liking racing back on turf, he's been running some solid races and now off this weight he has every chance. Chief Red Cloud was a pretty comfortable winner last time. That, though, was following a run of lesser efforts but if he has finally got the hang of things he could follow up. Trade Centre usually runs his race but is winless in five runs here which is a little off putting and Headache remains 4lbs worse off than when last in front. Ravi River is best in plating class and will need to improve to win this so now down to a winnable rating Guildenstern looks the one to chance.
