        Verdict

        With experience of this surface and having shown slight improvement in two runs Kevin Ryan's NELLIE ELLIS gets the nod in this maiden while My Mate Al should be better than he showed on debut and Ruby Alexander shouldn't be ruled out. The pick has plenty of speed in her pedigree and is related to a few useful types, including Listed winner Gilt Edge Girl. She should find success over this trip and having progressed in a couple of runs there's no reason to suggest she won't show us more again. My Mate Al has a pair of Listed winners in his family tree but looked badly in need of his first run at Haydock. We'll need to see much improvement if he is to win but it's too early to write him off. Ruby Alexander marginally stepped up on her opening gambit and given she's related to juvenile winners over this trip she remains interesting. Jeremy Glover and Frederik Tylicki have plenty of success when teaming up and after Sacrosanctus ran a solid debut he should be considered but after two improved starts Nellie Ellis just looks the call.
