Spindor, Caustic Wit, Italian Mist and Effective look the ones to concentrate on in an open handicap and the tentative vote goes to Caustic Wit. The six-year-old won well last time out when defeating Savile's Delight and although he has a penalty for that win he will be hard to beat with conditions sure to suit. Spindor rates the main danger he won well last time out when defeating Illusive but he is not the most straight forward of rides and for that reason he is opposed. Italian Mist is another that could go well he was a fair third behind Further Outlook on turf last time and if he can run up to that form off this higher mark he would have definite place claims. Effective won well at Lingfield when defeating Goodenough Mover but he is unproven on this surface and for that reason he is passed over on this occasion. Of the remainder Pawan is in form but has yet to win over this trip so for the winner we return to Caustic Wit.
