With doubts concerning the trip for several of his rivals, including Platinum Charmer and Sungio, it may be worth taking a chance with the consistent Aveiro. Gay Kelleway's gelding has winning form over the trip and lost no caste in defeat behind the progressive Sun Hill (a winner again since) over course and distance earlier this month. The Kelleway stable remains in good form and he is taken to resume winning ways. Top weight Toni Alcala is another with form over the distance but is difficult to recommend on recent evidence and of more interest may be the lightly raced Sean's Memory. A market move for the reappearing Polanski Mill would be of interest, while Platinum Charmer has to be respected, if he stays the trip. However, Kevin Ryan's gelding is far from certain to do so and we prefer to side with Aveiro to give the in form Gay Kelleway another winner.
