Verdict

Imperium is given the nomination in this maiden stakes with Graceful Air and Monte Major the principle dangers. The selection has shown a fair level of form on the polytrack at Lingfield. He is dropped to his optimum trip here and with a good jockey booked he looks sure to go well. Graceful Air is an obvious danger but he is making his all-weather debut and is returning from a break. Although he looks to have good claims on the pick of his turf form he might just benefit from this outing and the percentage call is to take him on. Monte Major was a beaten favourite behind Norwegian last time at Southwell but could be capable of bouncing back here, especially as the drop in trip is in his favour. The market may provide us with a few clues in this event as there are a number of imponderables surrounding the principles, but Imperium has been running well of late and is given the vote.
