        Verdict

The finale is a poor conclusion to the afternoon's racing, but there has to be a winner from these out of form sorts, so tentatively we'll suggest it could be JOHN POTTS, but Carry On Cleo and Comeintothespace may find supporters too. The cheek pieces brought about an improvement for the selection last time out when coming third here in a similar contest, and but for it being his first outing for a couple of months he may have won it. The outing will have done him good. He remains 0 from 18 though, which tells you all about the quality in this race. Carry On Cleo is the only course and distance winner here, but that was nearly a year ago. Comeintothespace is back with Rodney Farrant and ran a decent race last time out which was his first outing in more than 100 days. He's well handicapped and any market support would be encouraging. However we think a marginally more likely winner is John Potts.
