The strength of Striking Priorite's win on debut at Kempton has taken a bit of a pounding with subsequent performers from the same race mostly disappointing, though he has to be respected considering the ease in which he won and he could only beat what was put in front of him. It is often foolhardy to dismiss a John Gosden juvenile but this is what we will do with Apazine who hardly looks the strongest in his yard. Buzz Law is dropped 7lb after a couple of disappointing runs but needs to find more today, whilst the drop back in trip for Diplomasi isn't sure to suit but is certainly included in calculations having won here on handicap debut last time. We take a risk by siding with MARINA BELLE. Mark Johnston has a good record here and he seems to have found a lowly mark for this daughter of the high-class multiple winner Marina Park. She may be able to exploit this mark to score although similar tactics seem to have been employed with Lord Of Persia and he is also worth consideration.
