NINTH HOUSE is better than he showed last time out and he is given another chance today at the main expense of Jord and Volochkova. The selection has been in decent form of late but he didn't have the race run to suit last time and it could pay to forgive him. He had previously been in good form and his second to Ensnare was subsequently franked so he makes plenty of appeal. Jord looks the obvious alternative as she boasts course and distance winning form; in fact she has not been out of the money in each of her last five starts here. Volochkova is a lightly-raced filly and she has shown some solid form so far on the all-weather in her short career. She has to be respected, while Kingsamaite was well beaten last time but he does win in his turn and he could be capable of bouncing back. However, Ninth House is taken to resume winning ways.
