In depth

Verdict

An interesting heat in which the market might provide a few clues but Overdrawn can make up for a narrow Windsor defeat eight days ago. That was over five furlongs but the extra furlong should be no problem for this son of Daggers Drawn, the only downside being that this is his third run in the space of 15 days. Embassy Lord is making his all-weather debut but has shown enough in two runs to entitle him to a chance. Sir Mark Prescott runs Straw Bear who, despite his dam being suited by middle distances, showed some promise on his debut, which was just four days ago. Designer City has shown a reasonable level of form in the context of this race, and we know she handles the surface, while the newcomers Marita and Willjojo cannot be entirely ruled out. Alan Bailey introduced Miss Mytton at Chester, which is usually a sign that she had been showing something at home. She caught a tartar on her last run but this level could prove more acceptable.
