In depth

Verdict

Cavendish still has something to prove on this surface so looks worth opposing with Bobsleigh. The selection was a pretty decent dual purpose performer back in the day and produced his best run for many an outing when staying on into third at Kempton last time. This shorter trip isn't ideal but he may be well enough weighted to get away with it now that he's found some form. Cavendish looks the one to beat having won his last two starts but he has only twice made the frame in eleven all-weather runs so may be worth opposing at a short price. There are no such concerns with Me Fein but he is 8lbs higher than when winning at Southwell. This further step up in trip may help him defy that and he's still relatively unexposed but we'll take a chance with the old-timer, Bobsleigh.
