Quite a decent contest for a claimer with a couple of these having handicap marks of 70 plus. Lady Boxer has the highest B.H.B mark in this (75), and is certainly one to keep an eye on. This is a huge drop in class for her, and she is a tempting proposition receiving weight off inferior animals, but this trip could well be on the sharp side for her and a chance is taken with Prima Stella, who is effective around here and will be well suited to the likely strong pace set by speedsters Hagley Park and Sharp Hat. Prima Stella can be forgiven her latest effort where she never recovered from a tardy start in a much better contest than this and Lady Boxer apart, she would be giving all of her rivals weight in a handicap. Sharp Hat bounced back to form at Southwell earlier in the week and with George Duffield taking over from an amateur, he looks sure to pose a threat. However, he, like the majority of these, have plenty to find with the two principals on the book.
