In depth

Verdict

Not much form to work on and the market will provide further clues but Lady Killer sets a fair standard and is just preferred. Bill Turner's filly showed plenty of promise when third on her debut behind a subsequent winner at Folkestone last month and showed a most willing attitude to lift a claimer at Bath the following week. The daughter of Daggers Drawn looks sure to improve again and her previous experience should make her the one to beat in what looks an ordinary event. Alizar has been outclassed behind useful opposition in maidens at Doncaster and Ripon but has shown some ability and takes a significant ease in grade. Miss Lyvennet and Tanara are others who look capable of making an impact at this lowly level while Merlins Pride has claims if translating her all-weather form to turf.
