Sir Mark Prescott seems to write his own version of the form book at this time of year and he can be worth following again with City Chancer, who is fancied to find the necessary improvement now that he has the benefit of a run behind him. Those with experience are an ordinary bunch so it may be down to the newcomers, Cape Gigi, Lamington and Santerno to give the selection the most to think about. Santerno is a half-sister to six furlong winner Miss Judgement and hails from a yard in-form. Eoghan O'Neill has proved himself capable with his two-year-old and his representative is very much one to bear in mind for future reference. Lamington is also related to winners over this trip (even though his pedigree suggests otherwise) and is another to keep tabs on in the betting. Nick Littmoden's string have been running well in the last week or so and he too is a trainer to follow at present. However, Prescott has been the master of the month of July for several years now and this again looks to be a solid piece of placement for City Chancer to get off the mark.
