Verdict
Kismet Queen has shown enough in the past to land this bad race, with Mezereon and How's Things the pair to give her most to do. Chris Thornton's filly has had plenty of chances, and the fact that she will probably go off as favourite shows just how poor this is. She gets her best chance yet here though, receiving weight all round. An official mark of 50 puts her well ahead of most of these at the weights, with only Mezereon technically able to come out on top of her. James Given's filly took part in a Newmarket maiden last October but had her sights lowered considerably when reappearing in a seller at Carlisle two weeks ago, shaping not too badly in fifth. She is open to improvement but is likely to find the experience of Kismet Queen too much to cope with on this occasion.
