In depth

Verdict

Temtation should appreciate this drop in class today but he may be vulnerable to a strong finisher and so we will plump for Pirner's Brig as our selection, with Belvedere Vixen a live danger. Mick Easterby's Pirner's Brig could be hard to peg back if granted an easy lead today and as the sole course-winner in the field, he should be watched in the market for signs of confidence and backed accordingly. Pretty Selma is pretty consistent and should run her race, whilst Temtation is normally smartly away but could be seen to better effect over an extra furlong. Belvedere Vixen should appreciate the drop in class today and a repeat of her last run would see her go close, however for the winner we will stick with Pirner's Brig to take this moderate contest.
