        Verdict

        This is a weak maiden and narrow preference is for SOUTH AFRICAN over the likes of Acrosstheuniverse and Majestic Lady. The selection progressed from her first run to second when she finished second behind Gurteen Diamond over 6f here last month. The drop back to the minimum trip will not inconvenience her and from a decent draw she can open her account. Acrosstheuniverse has not fared quite so well with the draw which is a slight worry as she did run very green again at Lingfield last time. There should be more to come from her but she will need some luck to score from her outside berth. Majestic Lady has had plenty of chances now but she wasn't beaten far behind Fuzzy Cat last time. She has to have place prospects, along with Fatal Attraction who has twice been in the money from four starts. However, we prefer the claims of South African who gets the pick.
