Verdict

SHEARIAN went close to following up his Kempton win when finishing second in a claimer at this track despite unfavourable terms. That effort didn't escape the handicapper's attention and he's been raised 7lb but it's still the best form on offer and Tony Carroll's charge gets the nod. Rakticate is another with claims dropping back in trip and Amelia Hull has a shout off a 2lb higher mark than when dead-heating for first over track and trip in January. Silver Fawn will do well to follow up his Kempton victory under a penalty, however, and Scepticism is proving hard to win with.
