Verdict

A big prize for the track and a competitive field will line up, with FLOWING CAPE selected to complete a hat-trick, while a case could be made for a number of others. Reg Hollinshead still uses all his experience to outsmart the handicapper and he may have done so again with Flowing Cape. The four-year-old was a course and distance winner a couple of starts back and then successfully dropped back in trip to win over 6f last time. This return to 7f looks very much a positive, he has a progessive profile, and we'll take him to go in again. Capricorn Run has won two of his last three starts and is up 5lbs for the latest, where he battled on gamely at Lingfield. He won't be far away, and the same applies to Ace Of Hearts, though he is again likely to find one too good. Flipando was a beaten favourite last time at Lingfield and is stepped up in trip here, though he has struggled beyond a mile when previously tried. Bolodenka is fit from hurdling and should be suited by this trip, so from a yard continuing to go well he is respected. Samarinda is adaptable regarding trip and is weighted to get competitive, though he might find a couple too good from this mark, and Flowing Cape can take the prize.
