Shamrock City may not be as good as he once was and lacks experience of the surface but has so much in hands on official BHB ratings that he has to be the selection with Risk Free and Ziet d'Alsace rated the biggest dangers. The selection, a Listed race winner as a three-year-old, only beat two horses home in three starts last term but they were all in much better company than this and the eight-year-old has to be the choice in this grade. Nick Littmoden's Just Wiz is a consistent performer in this grade and is entitled to run his usual race along with Tony Carroll's Ziet d'Alsace, who receives weight from most of her rivals. Belisco has claims on the form shown when landing a claimer at Lingfield in August but Chris Dwyer's gelding has struggled to reproduce a similar level of ability since then and a bigger threat may come from Risk Free. The David Evans-trained gelding is consistent at this level but if Shamrock City can show anything like his best then he will take all of the beating.
