Not the strongest of maidens and YA HAFED is suggested to get the better of the more experienced Gower Rules, with Guinea Seeker another to have a look at. The last-named showed signs of improvement when behind stablemate Lizzie at Thirsk last time and will be better for that second run. He tries this surface for the first time and he could be capable of going close. Gower Rules was given a couple of runs in May and stepped up a gear last month when trying this trip for the first time. That looks the best piece of form on offer here and a win would be no great surprise. Stacey is another with an improving profile and showed a good attitude when beaten at Lingfield, but preference is for Ya Hafed. Ed Dunlop's colt was given a quiet introduction at Kempton and stays over 7f, which should be ideal for now. The trainer has a 25 per cent strike rate with his juveniles at this track and with plenty of untapped potential we think that his charge could be the one for today.
