Hardly any of the field arrive in good nick in what rates the weaker of the two divisions of this contest. CRUISE TOTHELIMIT has looked in the grip of the handicapper on recent starts but has a real chance now eligible for this 0-60 contest and the best of his form would make him the one to beat. He gets the nod though confidence is somewhat tempered by his unappealing draw in stall 11. Dean Ivory and Robert Winston are a combination going well at present and Jack The Laird is definite short-list material on the back of an improved Lingfield effort last month and his only career success arrived at this venue last spring. Strictly Carter has claims but all depends if he's ready to roll on this first start since mid-August and Very First Blade is another possible. The latter is a course winner but he does tend to reserve his best for Southwell nowadays.
