Verdict

The lightly-raced contenders and newcomers do not look anything special so it's the three with experience that look likely to fight out the finish. Poetic Queen has the services of Adam Kirby and her close second to Monsieur Paddy when last seen in a similar contest at Newcastle brings her right into the equation but the overall form of Right Action looks stronger, notably a close second at Pontefract on just his second start back last July. But he hasn't been seen since a fair run in maiden company at Redcar last August so the race-fit BLUE BAHIA (NAP) is preferred. She showed plenty of promise for Dermot Weld last term, notably when second at Naas to the high-class Roly Poly, and hasn't been disgraced on either outing since joining Mark Johnston.
