Verdict

The nightcap can go the way of ST MORITZ; the list of dangers is headed by Changing The Guard and Luckydolly. The selection looks the form pick here as this colt from the Mark Johnston yard recovered from a slow start to win well on his debut Lingfield when he beat Rebel City. That form sets the benchmark for the others and with improvement anticipated he should prove hard to beat. Changing The Guard won well on his debut at Great Leighs and he only found the progressive Five Star Junior too good last time, so if there are any chinks in the armour of our selection he should be capable of exploiting them. Luckydolly ran her best race yet here last time when she was second behind Night Affair, but she has now had eight runs without getting her head in front and she looks relatively exposed. Similar comments would apply to Richard Hannon's Head Down, and we will stick with St Moritz to lead them home.
