This is a competitive handicap and narrow preference is for ADMIRAL BOND ahead of Mr Rooney and Decider. The selection was an eyecatcher last time out when he was slowly away before finishing strongly in fifth behind Whiskey Creek at Lingfield. He has a good draw tonight and if he can get away on level terms he could be difficult to beat. Alan Berry's 6-year-old Mr Rooney did win last time out but he was all-out to score that day and he has a penalty to contend with tonight. The draw could also have been kinder so he has a few question marks against him. Decider finished just ahead of Mr Rooney when last seen out and on these terms he should be capable of upholding the form, although he is another that is not ideally drawn. Multhab is a course and distance winner and the yard are very shrewd so a market check is advised, but in an open event the pick goes to Admiral Bond.
