This is tricky race and from a shortlist that includes Global Achiever, Merdiff, Blakeshall Quest, Ligne d'Eau and Chickado, we will opt for Blakeshall Quest. Spinning through the runners and Global Achiever was a winner here over five from a six-pound lower mark but has run well since, including over this trip, since. Gilded Cove will need to be at his best to win. Merdiff is rarely out of the money on the all-weather although he stays a mile well. Sundried Tomato would have a good chance on form of two years ago but is on a downward loop. Rafters Music is well weighted if at best but is 10 now and has not won for two years. Blakeshall Quest is now two pounds lower in the ratings than when scoring over course and distance in an amateur event in April and has every right to be considered. Adantino tries this surface for the first time but likes Lingfield. Mind Alert has been trying a variety of trips but might be better at this one, although he is four pounds above a winning mark. Aintnecessarilyso also needs a recent best to feature, while judged on recent efforts, Ligne D'eau could be getting his all-weather act together and his chance cannot be easily dismissed. Chickado remains consistent on the all-weather but Irish import Forest Knight showed little in his native land, while Greenwood also seems to in need of an improved effort to feature. In summary, once again, the vote goes to Blakeshall Quest.
