Ever Cheerful and Western Roots stand out here on ratings and for us the vote goes to Ever Cheerful. A winner of a six-furlong course claimer in December, the selection is fully effective at today's trip and looks to be a leading player in the seller. Western Roots was second in a course and distance event in early December and a repeat of that gives him solid claims too because the others look to have to improve to gain the day if the two mentioned horses are near their best. Best of them might prove to be Crewes Miss Isle, if she can get back to her April form - and she does act here - and Shielaligh, who looked as though she might still have a little improvement in her last time. Overall, though, the vote goes to Ever Cheerful.
