        Verdict

        Candesta has won on Polytrack but his wide-margin win in December came on Fibresand and he has limited experience on Tapeta. AMERICAN PATROL (NAP) steps up in trip but recorded a second course victory here last month and should confirm that form with fifth John Caesar – the second gave the form a boost last week. Beepeecee never seems to run a bad race and has dropped a further pound since his third at Chelmsford while the handicapper is giving Etaad every chance of picking up the winning thread again. Stamp Duty is on a losing run, however, and was beaten in a Class 7 race here last time.
