Andrew Balding's DINGAAN has been raised 9lb since winning a Sandown claimer in July but looks worth siding with on his return to the Polytrack, a surface on which he has a good record. Kevin Ryan's Apache Ridge won a Ripon seller last time in decent fashion and has to be respected in this claimer but he has a bit to find with the selection on official BHA ratings. Hugh Morrison's Cape Melody has claims dropped into this grade for the first time, while Dvinsky is probably better over six furlongs than the seven that he races over today. Jim Best's Orpenindeed has been running well in this grade in recent starts and should be thereabouts at the end once more but a better bet looks to be Dingaan, who can win again.
