Qobtaan has gone up 6lbs for his defeat of Mobo-Baco in a classified stakes race over a furlong shorter here last time and is not certain to appreciate the slightly longer trip today so is passed over in favour of recent course and distance winner Lake Diva, who is preferred to Libre. The last mentioned made a winning return to Frank Jordan's yard when landing a seven-furlong handicap a fortnight ago and has claims of a 5lb higher mark today over a trip that he stays well enough. Lake Diva is in the form of her life right now though and James Given filly has an obvious chance of completing a quick hat-trick racing off just a 1lb higher mark than when successful last time. The booking of Eddie Ahern for Eijaaz takes the eye and is another worthy of consideration along with Nick Littmoden's Garrigon who has been given lengthy break since his latest start. The David Evans-trained Gold Guest and Mark Brisbourne's recent course and distance runner-up Sienna Sunset are others to consider but the vote goes to Lake Diva, who is taken to win again.
