Greenwich Meantime is undoubtedly still ahead of the handicapper but failed to win last time because of weak jockeyship and he is difficult to recommend until Lynda Ramsden puts a stronger rider in the plate so preference is for Weet For Me, who gets the vote ahead of Madiba. The last mentioned has gone up 13lbs for his 13-length defeat of Spring Breeze at Southwell last time and while the rise is fair it remains to be seen whether Paul Howling's gelding can reproduce the form on this different surface. With Paul Blockley's string in good form at present, Altitude Dancer has to be respected along with Stan Moore's Laggan Bay, who should appreciate the return to this trip having been outpaced over 1m4f last time. Penny Stall, formerly with John Dunlop, may have been freshened up by the move to Emma Lavelle but is probably using this as a prep-race for going over hurdles and preference is for Weet For Me. The selection finished a neck in front of Greenwich Meantime here over 1m6f on his return to all-weather racing last month and on 1lb better terms is fancied to confirm the form with Lynda Ramsden's horse.
