In what is a truly dreadful contest, what can only be a tentative vote goes to Grandma's Girl, who is preferred to Pragmatica and Just Bond. The last mentioned is less exposed than most of these but lack of form on the surface is of concern for Bryan Smart's gelding. Blue Quiver has not had a great deal of racing for a five-year-old and he holds more solid claims than the Barry Hills-trained Heart Stopping, who has given little sign of encouragement from admittedly limited opportunities so far. Gary Moore's Kristinor ran promisingly over course and distance last time and has to be respected along with Pragmatica, although the last mentioned has had more chances than most of these at the age of four and looks booked for a place at best. The vote then goes to Grandma's Girl, who has slipped to an attractive mark for her debut on a surface that, on pedigree, should bring about improvement.
