Colonel Bilko has been running with credit on turf of late but faces no easy task at the weight son his return to the all-weather and preference is for another three-year-old Watchmyeyes, who gets the vote ahead of Prince Dayjur and the evergreen Nimello. The last mentioned won a similar contest here over the extended mile in July and has claims on that evidence but really needs at least a mile to show his best and is probably best left out of calculations over today's trip of seven furlongs. Colemanstown, who finished behind Nimello in that race when last seen may do better back over this trip but has to give weight away all round and of more interest may be Mark Brisbourne's Samuel Charles, who has a realistic racing weight. The Geraldine Rees-trained Owed has a handy racing weight but has yet to win a race, while the eight-year-old Hand Chime has not won for nearly three years and is best left out of calculations. Prince Dayjur, a course and distance winner in similar grade in January, has an obvious chance at the weights but gave little sign for encouragement on his recent return and preference is for Watchmyeyes, who is well treated judged by official BHB ratings and should appreciate the return to this surface.
