Locombe Hill, Lucius Verrus and Headland are three against the field in an open finale and the vote is given to Locombe Hill. The selection was a good second behind Namrood last time out. That form has since been franked and off the same mark here, if he acts on this surface, he will be hard to beat. Lucius Verrus rates the main danger as he was a fair second behind Flying Edge last time out. However, he is hard to win with and he has yet to win over this trip so he looks worth taking on. Headland is another worthy of respect as he ran behind behind Turn Around last time but that was in a seller and this looks much more competitive. Of the remainder Vademecum and Tally are both in form and are sure to run their races but they look high enough in the handicap now and for the winner we will stick with Locombe Hill.
