In depth

Verdict

Act Of Magic beat Pilot Wings and Zayriyan when scoring on the all-weather for the first time with a victory over track and trip. He’s only 2lb higher today while Captain St Lucifer returned to action with a third at Chelmsford in first-time headgear and should figure again. But FINAL ATTACK won over course and distance in January and may prove the one to side with having finished a close-up fourth back here a fortnight ago. Rivas Rob Roy’s earlier win at Lingfield came over a mile.
