Banks Boy started favourite on his debut in what looked a moderate Thurles maiden but found the 2m trip too sharp and should be better suited here. Big Shanghai was also market leader on his debut under Rules in a Punchestown bumper but pulled much too hard. Caesar Rock showed the benefit of his opening run with a much-improved effort over this trip at Navan but Eden Flight has disappointed since runner-up over 2m6f on heavy going here in January last year. Edison Kent was staying on nicely over 2m at Leopardstown but it's about time SALT WIND was winning. A close second over the track and trip in January, he didn't jump well in what looked a strong Thurles maiden in February and paid the price at the second last when still in contention. Bumper winner Mare Quinby looks best of the remainder.
