Verdict

DARK RANGER has improved on his early career efforts recently after a step up in trip proved beneficial and he makes the selection here ahead of Miss Mojito and Foreign Investment. The selection had been struggling over six but, since his step up to a mile, he has shown improved form. Tim Pitt's colt was a winner last time off a mark of just 47 and looks to have plenty to build on now and is capable of achieving his second career win here. Miss Mojito ran well in defeat at Kempton last time finishing her first race over a mile well. The filly is still a maiden but looks capable of taking an event such as this; if she can build on that run then she could be the selection's toughest competitor. The yard of Foreign Investment are in fairly good form and, although the filly failed to impress at Kempton at the last time of asking, she has done well here this year and was a course winner back in February. She may struggle here as her win came in a rather weak maiden over 7f but she has made a pleasing start to her career and progress should see her there or thereabouts. Our winner then, is Dark Ranger.
