Verdict
Six run in what should prove to be a competitive claimer where the recent form of BLUE TOMATO stands out and he should just get the better of Harry Up and Qadar. The selection landed his 11th win in 65 starts last time out here. His last two wins at this grade have come over course and distance and his record here is impressive on a track that suits his hold-up tactics. The gelding is a force at this level and looks capable of further success. Harry Up has won three course and distance claimers in the last seven weeks but has failed to figure in his two starts since his last victory. Kevin Ryan's gelding is a fair sort for this grade and this step up to 6f should see him make the frame. Qadar is dangerously well handicapped these days having not won for over two years. The seven-year-old has dropped a very long way in the weights in the last couple of years and could be very interesting back over an extra furlong. Desperate Dan was a course and distance winner last time and can remain a force at this level but he may find it hard to get the better of the in-form Blue Tomato.
