        Verdict

        Pelham Crescent, Abbondanza and Waterline Twenty are three against the field in this trappy handicap and the narrow nomination is given to Pelham Crescent. The selection won last time out when defeating Not Twice. Granted he has a four pound penalty for that win but he looks sure to have the race run to suit and he looks the one to be on. Abbondanza rates the main danger on his latest fourth behind Kansas Gold but he looks vulnerable under top weight. Waterline Twenty is another worthy of respect as he is well-weighted on the all-weather compared to turf but his form on this surface leaves him with a little to find. Tom Paris is another that is thrown in on his best form but he is hard to win with, while Pab Special is best when allowed to dominate and as he looks sure to be taken on for the lead. Pelham Crescent is therefore put forward as our idea of the winner.
